Areas for improvement: little niggles like the fan switch
Very good car it has never broken down in the 2 years that we have owned it, the only problems are the switch for the fan speed has broken and a air-bag sensor had gone but they were rectified fairly easily. Comfortable car, smooth ride, spacious and yet still manages to be fast.

Areas for improvement: the dullness of the overall design particularly the dashboard - too plain
The car has a very undeserved dowdy image in the UK but is one of the easiest cars to live with day in day out. Its comfortable and very stable on the road with a reassuringly solid feel to the handling and ride. Build quality seems good with all controls maintaining their 'germanic' feel despite some hard use. The new CR diesel is very smooth although its long gearing and leisurely performance would sway me towards the 2.0 tdi next time or the delightful 1.4tsi.
