Test date Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Interior quality is good enough to challenge the established competition. Hyundai's first attempt to build a serious luxury saloon capable of challenging BMW, Lexus and Mercedes. Hyundai executives describe the Genesis as being the car they "always wanted to build" - a full-sized executive saloon with rear-wheel drive and a choice of a 4.6-litre V8 or 3.8-litre V6 to power it.
