A hoppin’ hatchback returns with torque and utility
A surprise came with the North American arrival of the fifth-generation Golf last summer: The hatchback would no longer be known as the Golf here. Instead, Volkswagen reinstated the Rabbit nameplate. With the Golf name never having resonated well in these parts, Volkswagen hopes to rekindle the success it enjoyed through 1985 with the first-generation car.
