Areas for improvement: Could use a more appealing shifter knob
The Mercedes c350 sport has invariably drawn multiple comparisons to the 335i namely in Car and Driver magazine. The C350 "sport," however, is a dressed up Mercedes with a powerful engine, but don't try racing your neighbor at the stop light with an expensive 335i. I couldn't be happier. For a car that has been said to do a 0-60 in 5.5-6.0 seconds, it sure is an economical one. Combined, i've gotten 19.5 mpg with mainly city driving and a little highway, in just under 2000 miles. The engine is the same as all the MB 350's a 3.5 liter pushing out 268 hp and enough torque to scare yourself the first time you put the pedal to the metal. However, as sport as it has gotten, Mercedes has not gone away from their more luxurious side. The ride has considerable improvement over the 2007 model both interior and exterior. For starters, it looks much better than the old version.
The stiffer springs and much more aggressive looks haven't given way to a complete sports feel. The interior is still characterized by the MB touch, albeit very tough seats. The interior is much less crowded than the older version, with a much more functional navigation system than anything seen in previous MB's. MB took the BMW's iDrive system, but made considerable advances over their counterparts, creating a nearly perfect and seemless use for the average consumer. However, they could stand to make it a little less tough to move--you'll notice what i mean when you try to move the disk the first time. The back seat has considerable improvement and space. I could fit 3 medium size adults and myself in the car with relatively no problem.
Long story short, the car is a fun drive but is still luxurious. For my personal in-town driving, it beat out the 335i because it saved my butt from a rough ride, and my pocket from OPEC. Beware to not be too stingy at the dealership--these cars were hard to find two months ago when i was in the market. Bottom line, if you're willing to pay the price, its worth e

Areas for improvement: Fuel economy , reliability
It's a tyre eater. I have 225/45R17 XL Michelin Alpin PA2 Winter tyres. Because of the low profile on the tyres, every time you hit a pothole you will get bubbles forming on the sidewall. If you hit a really big one, you will also scratch/damage the wheel. Mercedes does not offer 17 inch black winter rims so I'm slowly destroying my wheels. They only offer steel rims up to 16 inches. I have no idea why Mercedes would not make any Winter Steel Rims for 17 inch and bigger. I know they're ugly but it's better than destroying your tyres and wheels.
Birmingham's roads are terrible year round and they have plenty of potholes. If you live in a climate that does not have potholes, I would highly recommend this vehicle. The driving is smooth and the handling is exceptional.
It's convenient that oil changes are every 20,000 KM but the cost is terrible. 350 US$ to get an oil and filter change and someone to measure the windshield washer fluid level is not what I was expecting from Mercedes.
Flat tyre 9000 KM.
Light bulb burnout in drivers' sunshade mirror at 18,000 KM.
Change 3 remaining tyres at 20,000 KM because of bubbles forming on sidewall.
Repaired one mag at 20,000 KM.
New bubbles forming on sidewall at 20,000 KM.
Gas mileage that manufacturer states is misleadingly low.

Areas for improvement: Not good in snow/rain
I've had this car for a little over a year now. I LOVE it. This Sports package is black, with black leather interior and gets lot's of attention. Great wheels. Superb performance! It really seems to love the open motorway, as if it wants to go back to the autobahns of Germany. Just went 127 MPH the other day on open road! It rides like it's on rails. The breaking is deadly, stops in a jiffy if needed. Precision turning, great handling in extreme circumstances. Only drawback here in Scotland is the high performance tyres become almost useless in over an inch of snow on the road. Almost dangerous to drive in snow. You have to stay at home, or be careful. But on rainy or dry roads, watch out! This car is truly fun to drive!!

Areas for improvement: Too many to list here....such a shame
Very bad blind spots comfortable ride cruises at 130 mph without knowing. strong engine very strong on lower rpms also. services were very expensive 100 pounds for an oil change and a car wash. they would not let us do the oil change or they would void the warranty on the car. tyres are horrible in the smallest amount of snow got stuck lots of times going up the slightest hill. only thing really nice about the car is the panorama sunroof the roof is basically all glass.
OTHER ISSUES:
Sunroof rattled.
Cup holders had poor design.
Armrest broke many times.
Car was out of alignment from factory pulled to the left.
Cigarette lighter stuck in never came out.
Glove compartment light works when its wants.
Cd player broke after 6 months would not eject cd.
Check coolant level came up constantly after a few months of owning car although coolant level was fine.
