Areas for improvement: Nothing
This is my second CR- V (previously had a 2004 mark 2)
and I have to say the all new model is far superior
it is good to drive on road and down farm tracks that no 2 wheel drive car /MPV/ SUV will look at (one of the main reasons we need a vehicle with some sort of 4 wheel drive capability (it doesn't take a jeep or LR etc but 4 wheel drive is required) we have he 2.0l Automatic petrol it is an all new engine derived from the 1.8 i-vtec in some of the latest Civics
and will shift the heavy car quickly when it is asked to and makes a nice noise whilst doing so
The cabin is roomy comfy and a joy to be and has lots of toys to play with the whole thing is just well packaged (o.k some of the plastics could be better, but that is a minor quibble)
Fuel economy is o.k for what it is 27mpg doing local journeys and 30/32 mpg on longer journeys
it would be nice if Honda would get around to mating an auto box to their Diesel (what nearly 4/5 years after the diesel was introduced and still only a manual box - come on Honda) Still new diesels on the way soon so fingers crossed.
Over all though I am Happy with my choice car is better built than the Rav 4 Santa FE, Freelander 2 rivals and having had Honda's before I think the service and trade in will be better as well.
The running costs for Honda Cr-v 2.0 i-vtec Automatic are normal
Areas for improvement: Lack of standard options / poor paintjob
I really don't like the look, but I love how it drives. So far my gas mileage is great; I gone over 500 miles and only filled up once. Right now I'm on the second tank and the needle is between full and half (I think that's 3 quarters).
Love the stereo and speaker system, and I love the MP3 and XM that goes with it.
I really really love the color I picked. The color is royal blue.
I love the fact that I have lots of cargo space.
It rides great everywhere. I'm very glad I got this vehicle.
Can't believe the CR-V does not have automatic headlights.
Even on the fully loaded model, the roof rack still is not standard. I wish the doors would lock automatically, I don't know if my other car even had that, which I had a few years and never paid attention.
In the morning, from sun glare you can tell the paint is so thin that can easily chip and nick.
