I bought this as a fun summer car, and it's turned into a really fun daily driver! I really dread putting it away for the winter.

Even though it is 31 years old, and has some wear around the edges, the engine is very powerful and the ride is very smooth.

But 31 years later, luxury is at a completely new level. A Honda has almost all the "luxury" features that this car does at almost the same price.

I've done all the maintenance myself, and prices on parts have been surprisingly reasonable. I would turn it over to a professional for anything more than a basic tune-up. The brakes are especially tricky.

It was literally owned by a little old lady who could no longer drive it, and it sat for a couple years before I came across it. The engine ran a little rough at first, and the power steering pump leaked, but there have been no problems since.

I'm used to a Beetle diesel as my daily driver, so 13mpg on premium really hurts!

Very nice car, well worth the money I paid for it. Bought it second hand to avoid the very long queue. Find it a nice change from my normal road car which I drive-the Range Rover.

Its pretty quick, and I love the purr of the engine when it revs up high. Overtakes 'boy racers' in their Skylines fairly easily!

Very classy, and is a dream to look at as expected!

Nothing has gone wrong so far, on-board satellite navigation didn't work when I received the car, but it was fixed quickly.

The only fault I seem to hear from my wife is that the passenger seat is a tiny bit cramped.

Ride is smooth and a pleasure to drive.

The interior of the Grand Touring C-X7 is roomy and comfortable.

The front heated seats are no less comfortable than any other similarly equipped vehicle.

The 9 way adjustable drivers seat compensates for any discomfort by adjusting seat accordingly.

The Dashboard instrumentation is laid out in a pleasing manner, and in correct locations.

While the sun visors do not have a vanity light accompanying the mirror, the overhead lights to the rear of the rear view mirror are more than adequate.

The leather interior adds a very nice level of sophistication while providing a sufficient ability to handle the leather lined shift lever and steering wheel.

The steering wheel has convenient control for the voice automated navigation system, cruise control, and stereo.

The Bose surround sound stereo, rivals my home entertainment system.

The touch screen navigation system is large and easy to read.

The 6 CD changer is nicely hidden behind the navigation system, and is easy to operate.

The rear seats provide ample space and comfort.

With the rear sets folded down, there is ample space to load large bulky items.

The building rear view camera is wonderful when backing up the vehicle.

The rear view camera automatically displays on the touch screen navigation system when the vehicle is placed in reverse.

Gas mileage is about what is expected from an engine with a turbo charger.

MPG is accurate for residential or rural driving.

Higher MPG on hwy. than listed on MS-RP sticker.

Has the handling of a sports car and the comfort of a sedan.

The vehicle has performed flawlessly.

Granted…, the vehicle does not have a computerized display option to determine gas mileage.

The vehicle cabin could use additional insulation to reduce engine noise, which seems to be slightly above normal at lower speeds in comparison to other vehicles.

Performance - The car's performance is quite excellent. It'll hit 60 in 7 seconds and easily accelerate to triple digit speeds. The 3.0 pulls strongly from off idle to 7000 RPM.

Interior - the interior is quite classy, inviting, and elegant. Seats are very comfortable on long trips. Fit, finish, and quality of the materials used are top notch for this price range. Leather seating is standard on this model. A big plus for this model is its huge trunk space - much larger than most of its competition.

Handling - The vehicle has standard all-wheel-drive. However, the car behaves like a rear drive under normal conditions. The car handles ice, snow, and heavy rain with no drama. Overall, the car seems to handle as well as any in its class. The 4 wheel disc brakes have excellent feel, short stopping distances, and don't fade under heavy use.

Body - The fit and finish of this vehicle are exceptional even for this class. The paint work is the best I've ever seen on a production vehicle. The styling is retro - giving the car a very sleek "classic' appearance.

Fuel economy - The car requires premium fuel because the engine is high compression. In city driving, my car delivers a consistent 20 MPG. On long interstate trips, running usually at 70 - 75 MPH, she delivers 27 MPG.

Overall - I drove most of this car's competitors before selecting it. At its price point, they just don't compare. The car gives the feeling that its built like a tank, and, goes about its business with quiet elegance. Give it a good dose of throttle, the 3.0's exhaust note will rise to a pleasing snarl, and the speedometer will quickly wind to the car's electronically limited top speed.

Well, I find this car quite satisfying and despite its minor faults within the first 15K miles, I am still happy with this machine. All the problems were promptly addressed by my dealer (upon notification). And all were covered by its 50K service warranty. I don't pay for oil-changes either.

A few things that are disappointing:

The CD-player does not play MP3 CDs. (not so on new models?)

A bit of a rattle or noise in the driver door. (really not a problem)

The buzzing noise at initial start-up in wintertime.

I have the "Infotainment Plus" which is 170 watts. But performs like a system that has 50 watts, so poor factory speakers.

Otherwise a fine motor car: very fun to drive, nice seats, fast, great looks, good size/utility, good fuel economy, I really like the waffle air-vents (so does Cadillac as they 'adopted' them), safe, I like all the buttons on the dash - which ended with the 06 edition (it gives the cock-pit feeling, good marketing if you are still trying to connect the Svenska Aeroplan Aktie-Bolaget with cars), good handling and response et al.

The quality issues are that of a European car really and appear only minor assembly issues. Audi, Mercedes and BMW are the same, and Saab addresses them the same way, with their service warranty. I am strongly considering another, as this service warranty negates any quality concerns I have. My opinion and many reviews suggest Saab quality appears improving with the years.

GM Chairman Rick Wagoner is on hand at the Geneva Motor Show today, and one of his big talking points is the production announcement of a second generation GM Hybrid system. For those without a guide book, that's GM's branding for its mild hybrid system as opposed to the high-end Two-Mode system that's used in its full-size trucks and SUV hybrids. The current version of the system is available on the Saturn Aura and Vue and the Chevy Malibu.
